Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Where are the settings for POI-Warner?
A. The settings are found in the iPhone
Settings Application. To get there, press the home button and launch the Settings application. Scroll
past the iPhone settings to the section with application settings and press the 'POI Warner' item in the
list.
Q. What does the colored button in the top left corner mean?
A. The colored button
in the top left corner is used to display the current GPS accuracy. Green color is an accuracy of less
than 100 m (300 ft), yellow color is an accuracy of 100 - 300 m (300 - 900 ft) and red color is accuracy
above 300 m (900 ft). When the button is red the application will not warn for any cameras nor display
speed. When the button is yellow some warnings might come late and the speed displayed might not be
accurate. Place the iPhone as close to the car's window as possible to get the best reception.
Q. Why is the GPS accuracy not improving?
A. Place the iPhone as close to the car's
window as possible to get the best reception.
Q. Why is the speed displayed not accurate?
A. There is several reasons to this
issue. Make sure you have set the right unit for speed in the settings. You can choose between
"Imperial" (mph) and "Metric" (km/h). Another reason could be the GPS accuracy, for the speed to be
accurate the colored button in the top left corner has to be green.
